He is often referred as "painter of the people." His works are exhibited in a number of galleries and museums, including the [[National Gallery of Art]]. He received no formal education but it was his father, the [[illustrator]] [[N.C. Wyeth]], who taught him how to paint. The house in the painting "Christina's World" is shown in one of the cutscenes in [[Silent Hill]].
